Thunder's Durant: "Would Love To Stick It Out With One Team My Whole Career"

Kevin Durant is still another full season away from having to make a decision about his future, but he perhaps tipped his hand in a recent interview with Revolt TV.

Thunder fans will love what he had to say.

“I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don't really think about anywhere else,” Durant told Revolt TV. “I hear it all the time, don't get me wrong, and once you hear it you're kind of like (thinking gesture). But for me, I love staying in the moment, and I'm one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career.

"Kobe [Bryant], Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki type. That's awesome," Durant explained. "But you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while, but I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here."

Durant is a four-time scoring champion and the 2014 MVP, but a nagging foot injury has sidelined him for the remainder of the 2015 season. Durant underwent bone graft surgery on his right foot Tuesday and will miss 4-6 months of activity.

KD is from the Washington, D.C. area and many have speculated that he will return home and play for the Wizards once his OKC contract expires. Durant has typically avoided giving many details when addressing such questions in the past, but spoke proudly to Revolt about the Thunder's impact on the OKC community.

“When you think of Oklahoma City before us, it was the Oklahoma City bombing, natural disasters; if we ever win the championship I feel like we'll be heroes.”

The Thunder (42-32) currently sits in the No. 8 playoff spot in the Western Conference with eight games remaining in the regular season.
