Rape Suspect Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting In NE OKC

Police are responding to an officer-involved shooting in the 1300 block of NE 24^th late Wednesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 5:00 p.m., when officers say they were searching for a rape suspect in the area.

Officers were called after the victim made her way to a local hospital. She told medical personnel she was held against her will inside of a home and raped multiple times.

Police were notified of the rape suspect’s description and responded to a home at NE 24^th and Lottie.

Upon arrival, police made contact with a person at the door of the home. The officers were given permission to go inside and search for the suspect.

The suspect was found hiding under a bed and came out from under the bed with a knife.

Officers ordered the suspect to drop the knife. The suspect didn’t comply and was shocked with a Taser.

According to the officers, that’s when the suspect lunged at one of them. Then, shots were fired during the struggle. The suspect died from his wounds.

Names of those involved have not been released at this time.
