Former Valley Brook Officer Accused Of Sex Crimes Goes Before Judge

After spending her first two nights in the county jail, 21-year-old Courtney Schlinke appeared before a judge on Thursday.

Schlinke is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl. During Thursday's brief appearance in front of a judge, she broke down when her mother walked in.

Schlinke then apologized to her mother, who watched through a video feed as the judge read all 33 counts aloud, and formally set her bond at $1.1 million.

Schlinke is being held on counts of rape, oral sex and lewd acts with an underage girl. Oklahoma City police believe the relationship lasted about a year, even while Schlinke worked as a Valley Brook police officer. She resigned last week.

News 9 is told Schlinke has hired an attorney.

The DA is expected to file formal charges within the next 10 days.
