A water main broke at Edmond North High School and could force the school district to cancel classes for the high school on Tuesday.
The break happened Saturday night and flooded the kitchen, main cafeteria, a few hallways and about 20 classrooms, Edmond Public Schools spokeswoman Susan Parks Schlepp said.
The district is trying to restore water to the restrooms. They will determine by 4 p.m. Monday if classes will be held Tuesday.
About 30,000 square feet or about 7 percent of the building was affected by the water main break.
The district is not sure what caused the break.
About 2,650 students go to Edmond North High School. Parents are asked to monitor the district's social media accounts, website and mobile app for information.
