A father and son helped pull a woman from a burning SUV after she crashed on a Tulsa County road early Thursday.
The pair who lives several blocks away heard the 2:30 a.m. crash on 76th Street North just west of Peoria.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Deborah Williams, 54, of Collinsville was headed east in a 2000 Ford Explorer when it crossed the center line and struck a concrete culvert. The SUV ran off the road and rolled over multiple times, according to the OHP.
Richard Harmon Jr, and Richard Harmon Sr. heard the crash and ran over to see if they could help.
"It was on fire, I came down here and helped him get her out and we got her on the side of the road right here and then we called the fire department," said Richard Harmon Jr.
Turley and Sperry Fire Departments responded and put out the fire. The woman told the Harmons she had broken her ankle in the crash. Paramedics took her to a hospital. Troopers said she was stable.
The OHP is still investigating what caused the crash.
