Edmond Police are investigating after a ‘hit list’ was discovered involving Central Middle School on Tuesday.

Authorities tell News 9 a student found a notebook that contained the supposed hit list. That student turned the notebook over to teachers, who quickly identified the student to whom the notebook belonged.

That student, a seventh grader, was interviewed by Edmond Police and suspended by the school. The student's identity and the length of the suspension is not known.

According to a school spokesperson, the list contained the names of 27 students. The parents of the students whose names were on the list have been contacted, and school officials say a letter will be sent home with all students regarding the situation.

Also this week, shooting threats were made at Norman North High School on consecutive days. And later on Tuesday, News 9 learned that a threatening note was found on a Post-It slip inside the girls bathroom at Moore High School. None of those threats were deemed credible.

The threats come just days after a deadly shooting at an Oregon Community College.
