Body Discovered In Drainage Canal Of SW OKC Neighborhood

Police are investigating after a body was discovered in a drainage canal near a neighborhood on the southwest side of the metro.

Oklahoma City Police tell News 9 they received a call just before 11 a.m. that someone had found the body in the drainage canal of the Briarwood Creek housing addition.

The neighborhood is located near several schools, in between S. Western Ave. and N. Santa Fe Ave.

Investigators responded and found the body exactly where the called had said it would be. So far, investigators have not identified the deceased nor have they said in what condition the body was found.
