It was a wild Saturday morning for 46-year-old Steve Fortson, who is accused of going on a brazen, big-rig binge starting at Pallet Logistics of America near SE 15 Street and Eastern.
Operations Manager Gary Trumbull said Fortson must have jumped their fence before sunrise and took off in one of their tractor-trailers. But while busting through their fence, he blew a tire.
“So he turned around, brought that trailer back into my yard and then stole another truck and then went to Enid with it,” Trumbull said.
And thanks to GPS technology, Trumbull could track the truck's every turn and help police with their pursuit.

“Called the cops again saying here he is and then all of a sudden police were on top of him up near Portland,” he explained.
Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies arrested him under the Kilpatrick Turnpike near Portland and Memorial around 8 a.m.
He faces multiple complaints including grand larceny and obstructing a police officer, among many others.
And now, at one of the busiest shipping times of the year, the wood pallet delivery company has a big mess to clean up.
“That’s got probably $30,000 worth of damage on it so that, the fence, just a lot of company loss financially. But we’re a good company and good people so we’ll be OK,” Trumbull said.
The investigation is still underway, but authorities believe Fortson burglarized another business while on his trip, taking batteries from a company in Enid.
His bond has not yet been set.
