It's been almost three months since a ruthless homicide rattled the town of Canton, and it's been almost three months since loved ones lost Caylee Massey.
“The family is devastated by their 18-year-old daughter being shot and killed and no one is being held accountable for that,” Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown said.
On a drive from Oklahoma City to Canton, investigators said Massey and another man were in a red pickup and they picked up 23-year-old Christopher Blake Scruggs as a hitchhiker.
Police said Caylee was killed and Scruggs took off.

“We think if we could interview him, he could help us out with information as to what happened inside that pickup truck,” Brown told News 9.
Two weeks before the shooting death, Scruggs was wanted in Logan County for an alleged brutal beating.
He served two years in prison in 2011 and has several burglary and drug possession convictions dating back to 2010.
At this point, he is OSBI's person of interest and he's nowhere to be found.
“We do know he has a network of people,” Brown explained.
Investigators need the public's help, now more than ever, to get a hold of Scruggs so they can achieve justice and Massey's family can find some closure.
“You don’t have to know why to prosecute, but the family needs to know why,” Brown said.
Investigators think Scruggs may have changed his hair color at some point; it's been dark and blonde at different times.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is call authorities and call quickly at (800) 522-8017.
