Oklahoma City police confirmed that a man and a woman found dead inside a home Tuesday had both been shot and decapitated. The grandson of one victim has been arrested in connection to their deaths.

Police said a neighbor called police just before 2 p.m. to check the home on the 12500 block of Springwood Drive. When officers arrived, they found two adults dead inside the home. The victims have been identified as 78-year-old James Earl Reed and his wife, 59-year-old Sharon Reed. Police confirmed that both victims had been shot and decapitated.

Officers also found three children in a covered garage being used as an in-home daycare. They were unharmed, removed from the scene, and later reunited with their families.

When officers first arrived at the scene, they found the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Quinton Dashawn Laster, outside of the home. He was detained as police investigated the scene.

Police said Laster is Sharon Reed’s grandson. He was later arrested on two complaints of first-degree murder.
