Whether you're nauseous or just have indigestion, there's usually something you can do at home to fix the problem. And some home remedies are said to be just as good as over-the-counter drugs without the cost.
There are several inexpensive ways you can calm an upset stomach. Here are a few you can do right in the kitchen.
How does toast sound? And not just regular toast, burnt toast. Researchers have found that the char absorbs toxins that are making you feel ill. It is okay to add some jelly to make it more edible.
Also, try a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. You can mix it with one cup of warm water and a tablespoon of honey. Not only does the vinegar help your stomach, but also helps with hiccups and sore throats.
Lastly, heat can help. Just place a hot water bottle or a heating pad on your upset stomach. The heat increases blood flow to the skin surface and transfers the perception of pain from inside your stomach to the outside.
