Residents in Garfield County felt a jolt early Sunday morning, as an earthquake struck near Waukomis, Oklahoma.
The 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 5:25 a.m. Its epicenter was located nine miles east of Waukomis, 11 miles southeast of Enid, 32 miles north, northwest of Guthrie, and 38 miles west, northwest of Stillwater.
It was a little over a mile deep.
At this time there are no reported damages or injuries associated with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitude ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest one felts by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
