Body Found Inside NW OKC Home After Possible Standoff Situation

Authorities responded to a possible standoff situation Tuesday afternoon at a home near Lake Hefner.

The situation ended about 8 p.m. when the tact team found a body inside the home.

News 9 is told that US Marshals were responding to the home near NW 83rd St. and N. MacArthur Blvd. to interview a subject, but so far that person has refused to come out. Oklahoma City police officers are assisting.

Before the officers could get into the home to interview the first subject, a second subject ran into the home and investigators believe that he was armed. Investigators say they do not have charges on the second subject, and are currently holding their positions until they figure out what is going on.

Authorities have shut down a small portion of MacArthur in the area due to this incident.

Hefner Middle School, located just to the north of the scene, is aware of the situation, but has not been placed on lockdown at this time. Only students who walk home from school are being held until the scene is cleared or until they can be picked up.
