Five Teens Hospitalized After Violent Accident in SW Oklahoma

Five teenagers were hospitalized after a driver lost control of his car late Sunday night near Hollis.

According to police, the driver, a 17-year old male, was speeding down County Road 1600 in Harman County in a 2004 Ford Escape when he lost control of the vehicle. In an attempt to get back on the road, the driver overcorrected and rolled the vehicle approximately two times.

The Escape had four passengers, three 14-year-old females and a 16-year-old male. The male was taken to Harmon Memorial Hospital, treated then released.

One of the females was also taken to Harmon Memorial and admitted in stable condition with injuries to her extremities. The other two were airlifted to Oklahoma Medical Center and admitted in critical condition with injuries including head, trunk and extremities.

No other vehicles were involved.
