A jury has found Earnest Williams ‘not guilty’ of first-degree murder after a woman’s body was discovered inside a burning vehicle at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex back in 2013.

The jury, however, did find Williams guilty of being an accessory to first-degree murder, Arson and Desecration of a Body.

The jury recommended Williams be sentenced to 15 years in prison for the accessory count, four years for the count of desecration of a body and a $10,000 fine for the arson charge.

The case began on March 2, 2013, when police discovered the body of 26-year-old Laquisha Towers inside the burnt out shell of a car at the Willow Cliff apartments, located near NW 50th St. and N. MacArthur Blvd.
