The Yukon Police Department has cut ties with a dispatcher who was arrested in a prostitution sting in Oklahoma City earlier in the week.
OKC Police say Ali Razavi was just one of several people arrested during the sting operation at the Biltmore Hotel Monday night.
Razavi posted a $500 bond on Tuesday. News 9 reached out for comment, but Razavi’s attorney, Patrick Quillien, would only say that the incident was all a misunderstanding.
The decision to terminate Razavi’s employment came down Wednesday morning.
Yukon Police Chief John Corn released the following statement regarding the situation:
“The Yukon Police Department reviewed the information provided to us regarding the arrest of Ali Razavi. As a result of his arrest, we have separated employment with Mr. Razavi. While we cannot control the behavior of our employees during their personal time, we make it priority to stress that their actions not only represent themselves, but the Yukon Police Department and the City of Yukon.”
