The power is back on in north Tulsa after a transformer fire at a Public Service Company of Oklahoma substation in Oologah early Saturday.

The utility says the transformer caught fire just after 1 a.m. and PSO had to shut off power to one of its grids so Northwest Rogers County firefighters could extinguish the fire.

The outage impacted an unknown number of customers in the Pine and North Yale area of Tulsa for about an hour.

PSO is now trying to determine what caused the transformer to catch fire.
