Death Penalty Deliberations Continue In 'Cathouse' Murder Trial

The jury in the “Cathouse” murder trial resumed their deliberations around 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

They deliberated more than seven hours Thursday on whether or not to sentence Denny Phillips and Russell Hogshooter to the death penalty, or give them a different sentence.

The defense has asked for a sentence of anything less than death. But prosecutors state the two pose a continued threat to society and that their crime was particularly atrocious and heinous and that they should receive the death penalty.
