A shooting claimed the life of a teenage boy Friday afternoon.
Devastated family members were gathered at the corner of Oxford and Michael where the whole intersection is roped off, as they try to piece together what happened.
Police were called out to the scene in the 100 block of W. Michael Dr., near N. Air Depot Blvd. and State Highway 62., after 1:30 p.m.
It’s still early in the investigation but Midwest City Police believe the incident started with an argument outside the house on the corner. Soon after, MWC Police Chief Brandon Cables says shots were fired.
Police say the teenage male victim was found in the street, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Prior to the shooting there was a red vehicle, possible a Pontiac that was here. Our victim walked to the car and shots were fired,” said Chief Cables.
Police are on the search for that suspect vehicle.
