The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) held a news conference Tuesday to release videos of troopers’ shootout with fugitive Michael Vance, which ended in Vance’s death.
Vance, 38, was shot and killed by OHP troopers on Sunday evening, ending Vance’s alleged violent rampage that began on October 23. Vance was wanted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his relatives, Ronald and Valerie Wilkson in Luther, Oklahoma.
The news conference took place at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Representatives from multiple law enforcement agencies joined the conference to answer questions related to the manhunt for Michael Vance. They praised law enforcement officers' efforts during the manhunt and offered condolences to those affected by Vance's alleged violent crime spree.
The OHP released videos taken from the OHP helicopter and patrol vehicles during troopers' shootout with Vance. In one of those dashcam videos, one OHP trooper could be seen shooting through his windshield during the gunfight with Vance.
