The fire began just after 2 a.m. at SLS Tire at the corner of NE 23rd and Midwest in Midwest City Friday.
It became fully involved quickly and stayed that way for some time. At the time of this posting, the flames have been knocked down but the fire is not completely out yet.
Tinker Fire showed up to assist with foam operations due to the fact that it's a tire shop on fire.
This will stall some morning commuters as the hoses stretch across NE 23rd St. Drivers are advised to find an alternate route.
The owner says his family has owned the shop for about five years. There were no injuries.
