Semi Falls Off Overpass, Catches Fire In NW OKC

A semi driver walked away without a scratch following a fiery crash.

The accident occurred just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, at the I-44 interchange with Lake Hefner Parkway. The semi was hauling another tractor trailer when it fell off the overpass before catching fire.

Authorities shut down part of the interchange for a few hours until the scene was cleared.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is trying to determine if wet roads caused the driver to lose control.
