Perine Named Big 12 Offensive Player Of The Week

Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Perine ran for a season-high 239 yards in Oklahoma’s 38-20 win against Oklahoma State. He also scored a touchdown while averaging 6.5 yards per carry. It was the sixth 200-yard rushing game of his career and the second time he’s eclipsed 200 this season.

The junior needs just 82 yards to tie Billy Sims’ OU career rushing record of 4,118 yards.
