An Oklahoma City man confessed to killing an 18-day-old infant. Warning: the details of the alleged crime are graphic.
Investigators said Ron Deshawn Turner, 29, admitted to suffocating the baby to stop rumors that he was the father.
Police were initially called on Aug. 23 to a home in the 900 block of East Side for reports of an unresponsive baby.
The baby, Prince Williams, was pronounced dead at the home.
According to court records, Turner went into the home in the middle of the night and woke the baby's 13-year-old mother.
He is accused of placing a plastic bag over the baby's head in an attempt to suffocate him.
When the bag didn't work, Turner grabbed a pillow from the couch and covered the baby's face until he stopped breathing, the court documents stated.
Turner then threatened to kill the 13-year-old mother if she told anyone what happened to her baby, according to the affidavit.
The baby's death also launched a separate sex crimes investigation in Midwest City.
"This is a very tough case," Midwest City police Assistant Chief Sid Porter said.
Porter said Turner is accused of sexually abusing young girls -- ages 12, 10, 9 and 13.
"It is very sad to think the children had to go through this type of abuse, it's just heartbreaking," said Porter.
Turner is accused of raping the 13-year-old more than 30 times, and she became pregnant during that time.
During the investigation, Midwest City police detective Tim Blanton tried to retrieve a DNA sample for a paternity test but indicated in reports that Turner sent a friend in his place.
Turner was arrested December 16. He is being held in the Oklahoma County jail without bond.
