A man arrested in New Orleans last week has been charged with First-Degree Murder for a cold case out of northwest Oklahoma City dating back more than 30 years.
Police in New Orleans arrested 65-year-old Raul Sierra at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15 after a warrant was issued. Investigators tracked Sierra all over the country, first to Miami, Fla. and eventually to Louisiana.
Sierra is accused of shooting and killing Wilfredo Roberto Matos Osorio back in November 1982. DNA evidence helped investigators link Sierra to the crime.
Orsorio’s body was discovered by a bridge embankment in Pottawatomie County, but investigators say several witnesses claimed the killing occurred in a home in the 6900 block of Woodbridge Rd., located near NW 122nd St. and N. MacArthur Ave.
