Carroll is a preseason All-Big 12 selection after last year’s breakout campaign when he averaged 17.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He had the fourth-best 3-point shooting season by a Cowboy player going 59-for-133 – 44 percent – from deep.
The Cowboys will start Kendall Smith, Lindy Waters III, Cameron McGriff and Mitchell Solomon with either Tavarius Shine or Brandon Averette replacing Carroll. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
