Police Search For Thief, Accused Of Firing At Property Owner In Pott. County

Authorities in Pottawatomie County are on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly fired shots at a homeowner after being caught in the act of stealing his property.

The suspect fled the scene and was involved in a brief pursuit with law enforcement officers before ditching his vehicle in a wooded area, after ending up on a dead-end road, just south of State Highway 39 and west of State Highway 177, to the west of the town of Asher, Oklahoma.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office, Oklahoma

Authorities identified the suspect as 44-year-old Johnny S. Brown.

Anyone with information as to Brown's whereabouts is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office.
