The United State Postal Service (USPS) is seeing a 10 percent increase in volume this holiday season compared to the same period last year.
To keep up with the influx, more carriers are clocking in and working longer hours, according to the USPS.
Roger Hoyt has been with USPS for 30 years.
“Monday, I had probably triple the amount of parcels I have on a normal day,” he told News 9.
The two weeks leading up to Christmas are now considered the busiest for USPS mailing, shipping and delivery. The height of all the activity is expected to be December 18-14.
