Multiple fire crews were working to get a handle on a wildfire that flared up just to the southeast of Guthrie.
Firefighters from Guthrie, along with crews from Sooner Fire and Woodcrest Fire, were called in to battle the blaze in a rural area near S. Midwest Boulevard and E. Triplett Road.
The fire started when a man tried to burn trash on his property. While he was burning items, he burned a highly flammable item which allowed the fire to spread.
The fire was contained to the property and destroyed a vacant trailer home with several items inside. Several neglected vehicles were also burned up in the fire.
No one was injured due to the fire.
