A local lawmaker was not happy with the way some Oklahoma teachers conducted themselves at the state capitol as they demanded additional education funding. Kevin McDugle, Representative for District 12, said he's voted for every funding measure for education all last year, but no more.

"I'm not voting for another stinkin' measure when they're actin' the way they're actin'," he said on Facebook Live.

McDugle said he didn't like the example teachers were setting for young people though he understands their frustration.

"You're losing support of people who supported you all year long," he said. "Now you're going to come here and act like this after you got a raise?"

"Go ahead, be pissed at me if you want to," he concluded.

McDugle posted a follow-up video after deleting the video posted Tuesday morning. He said he will continue to support teachers as he has done for the last year and a half.

He added there have been death threats at the capitol and threats against legislative assistants. McDugle said he has learned that some of the things he doesn't approve of have been done not by Oklahoma teachers but from out-of-state people who have come to join state teaches in the rally.

"I do apologize that it came across the way it did," he said.

District 12 includes the towns of Broken Arrow, Coweta, Fair Oaks, Okay, Porter, Redbird, Tullahassee and Wagoner.

Teachers are leaving notes on Rep. McDugle's office door after the Facebook post which was later deleted.
