A 3.9 magnitude earthquake rattled residents in far northern Oklahoma, Friday afternoon.

The quake was recorded around 2:30 p.m., two miles east northeast of the town of Renfrow, Oklahoma, in Grant County, at a depth of approximately five and a half miles.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries at this time.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and greater.
