Man Arrested In Connection With Norman Homicide

Norman police tracked down a murder suspect less than 24 hours after the discovery of a body near the University of Oklahoma golf course.

The suspect in custody has been identified as 29-year-old Joe Alliniece.

This comes after a female body was discovered just before 3 p.m. Tuesday near Emerald Green Apartments and the OU golf course off of Dewey Avenue and Chesapeake Street.

Those who live nearby were immediately put on alert.

A tipster contacted police with information about a man, now identified as Alliniece, running from the scene of the homicide in a possibly blood-stained shirt.

Alliniece was taken into custody by the Oklahoma City Police Department before being transported to the Norman Police Department for questioning.
