Owasso Officer Involved In 'Serious' Crash

An Owasso police officer is recovering after crashing into the back of another car while on duty Monday evening. 

Owasso police said the officer was driving on the 9700 block of N. 129 E. Ave. when he crashed into the back of a car stopped at a traffic light. 

The officer, as well as the passengers of the other car, were injured, reports say. 

Owasso police said the crash is still under review, but early indications suggest that the officer had some kind of medical event which caused him to momentarily lose consciousness.

The extent of the injuries of those involved, as well as their names, have not been released.
