The driver involved in Monday's hit-and-run crash turned herself in to police Tuesday afternoon, Norman police said.

Misti Dawn Miller, 38, of Newalla, turned herself to the Norman Police Department.

About 3:10 p.m. Monday, an auto-pedestrian crash was reported in the 1300 block of 180th Avenue NE.

Bonnie Charlene Hughes, 64, parked in her driveway and crossed 180th Avenue NE to get her mail from her mailbox. While crossing the street, a Cadillac SRX was traveling southbound and did not stop. The vehicle continued to drive away from the scene eastbound on State Highway 9.

A dashcam video from a witness vehicle confirmed the Cadillac was involved, police said.

Hughes was taken to OU Medical Center via a medical helicopter. She is in serious condition.

Police said Miller was not injured in the crash. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
