State authorities suspect foul play is involved in a Caddo County man's death.

Authorities report Troy Ray McGarrah, 45, was found deceased last night floating in a secluded area of Fort Cobb Lake.

Crime tape closes off a dirt road that leads straight to an area of the lake called Crow's Roost. At the end of the path is where McGarrah's body was discovered just after 7:30 on Tuesday night.

His sister said he told his mother he was coming home Monday afternoon. When McGarrah didn’t return to his home in Eakly, loved ones called his phone. It went to straight to voicemail.

The following day, McGarrah's father found him dead, floating in the lake and called local authorities.

The Caddo County Sheriff's Office responded to the body found and then turned the investigation over to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents.

The agency is calling the man's death suspicious but have not released information about how he died or if investigators have identified a suspect.

The state medical examiner's officer will determine the exact cause of death.

The family said McGarrah did not have insurance and they are asking that donations be sent to Ray and Martha’s funeral home in Cordell.
