Residents can begin submitting applications for a medical marijuana license on Saturday after a judge ruled the latest medical marijuana rules will stay in place.
The online application submissions will be available starting at 10 a.m. that day, according to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority.
Judge Michael Tupper ruled Tuesday against a legal petition asking for an emergency injunction on 21 medical marijuana rules adopted this month. Tupper says petitioners didn't show "at this point" that the Board of Health overstepped its authority in imposing restrictions on State Question 788, which voters passed in June.

The application fee for patients is $100. People on Medicare or Medicaid will pay $20. If you wish to apply as a patient, you'll need proof of Oklahoma residency, proof of identity, a full face color digital photo and a physician recommendation form dated within 30 days of the application submission.
Applications will also be available for caregivers and businesses.
Applications will be accepted online only. The OMMA website recommends scanning or taking photos of your documents on your phone using free apps you can find by searching "document scanner" or related terms in your phone's app store.

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority states licenses will be mailed out within 14 days of the application submission if all the needed documentation is present.
There is a medical marijuana hotline people interested in patient or business licenses can call for more information. The OMMA call center number is 405-522-6662. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They also plan to release additional information on Friday that will give step-by-step instructions on the application system.
