Millions of dollars worth of upgrades may be on the way for the Riversport Rapids area.
Should the Oklahoma City Council approve the changes, 7.9 million has been set aside in MAPS 3 sales tax proceeds for the changes.
The whitewater park is currently in its third season of operation. The proposed money would help cover several projects in the park including completing the second floor space of the park's main building.
Installing a high capacity zip line spanning the park would supplement the current zip line.
The money would also pay for a new filtration system and electrical upgrades to help cut down on the park's power bill. The city council recently approved a 2 million reimbursement for costs connected to the park opening.
The council could address the Citizen Advisory Board's recommended upgrades at the next council meet on October 9.
