After reports surfaced that popular home furnishings store IKEA might be considering Oklahoma City for a new store, News 9 went looking for answers at City Hall.
IKEA is a Swedish-founded company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble home furnishings, home appliances and accessories. It is known for its modern designs and commands a devoted customer following.
News 9's Karl Torp talked to city spokesperson Kristy Yager, who issued the following statement:
"The City and Chamber are always talking to potential retailers, and IKEA would be a great addition to Oklahoma City," Yager said.
