IMMY Labs Now Accepting Walk-ins At OKC Fairgrounds Vaccination Pod

A vaccination event hosted by IMMY Labs is now a walk-in event meaning no appointment is necessary.

Organizers said around 7,600 slots had been filled on Sunday and now all appointments have been seen, so they will be taking walk-ups if people want the vaccine but were unable to sign up. They are giving out the Pfizer vaccine on Monday so when you make your appointment you will also schedule for that second dose.

Doors opened at the Bennett Event Center at 8 a.m. and the event runs until 5 p.m. This is for all people who are 16 years old and older, and currently eligible, Phases 1 through 3. Those who are 16 & 17 must be accompanied by a guardian.

IMMY Labs have been known for its organization and they say this massive pod will be no different.

"They can expect little to no wait time, we will walk them through the line they will already be signed into the portal and then they will take a seat and wait 15 minutes after their vaccine, and then they are finished and good to go,’' said Jackie Kanak with IMMY Labs.

They say they plan to do more vaccine PODS here at the fairgrounds in the very near future so if you can’t make it out today or you are not eligible, you can follow IMMY labs for updates.

Sean Bauman is the CEO of Immy labs and he says the new location will allow more vaccinations to be given out as time goes on.

“This isn't their first rodeo. We've set up pods now for about three months. We haven't had a space this large but that's why we came here, we will be able to in the future do about 30,000 people in this space,” said Bauman.
