The Tuttle Police Department suspended the search for a possible drowning victim in the Canadian River Friday afternoon.

Authorities said they have not yet learned any new information after receiving the help of drones from the Chickasaw Nation's emergency response team.

Tuttle crews had been periodically searching since 6 a.m. Friday. Two children told authorities Thursday that they saw the possible victim in Coal Creek, which feeds into the Canadian River.

According to TPD assistant chief Michael Scott, at least one K-9 had been dispatched.

An Air One helicopter from Oklahoma City also assisted in the search.

A dive team has not been called at this point. The water remains treacherous for divers to begin a thorough search.

TPD also said a missing person has yet to be reported.
