A 17-year-old is in custody on a second-degree murder complaint in connection with a deadly shooting that killed a 16-year-old in October.
News 9 is not naming the minor due to the lack of criminal charges.

The suspect, according to the arrest warrant, was at the scene of the shooting near SW 59th & S Agnew Ave. that killed Oscar Escobedo in October. Officers arrested the suspect on Monday and booked him into the county's juvenile detention center.
Police said in October Escobedo was struck by a stray bullet after a fight outside Patty’s Event Center led to an exchange of gunfire.

Officers searched a car in the parking and found a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and a wallet.
Credit cards inside the wallet had the name of the suspect, according to the affidavit, and DNA samples from the pistol matched those from the 17-year-old suspect.
Officers found 9mm and 40 caliber casings in the parking lot after the shooting. Police have not released any information regarding a second shooter.
