Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers say two people are dead and a third is injured after a head-on crash along Highway 20 in Osage County early Thursday morning.

Crews were first called to the scene west of the Skiatook bridge near Wild Horse Creek Road in Hominy at around 6 a.m.

According to OHP, 33-year-old Cameron Clark, from Vinita, Oklahoma, was traveling westbound along Highway 20 in a 2008 Ford Taurus when they drove into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2007 Honda Odyssey that was being driven by 73-year-old Joe Drummond, with 67-year-old Priscilla Drummond sitting as the only passenger. Troopers say the Honda rolled partially before coming to rest on the passenger side.

Following the crash, Cameron Clark was pinned by his vehicle for about 30 minutes before being rescued by the Hominy Fire Department. Crews used a Hurst tool, (also known as "the Jaws of Life") a tool used for heavy-duty cutting and spreading, to extricate Clark.

According to Troopers, Clark was transported to a Tulsa hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision.

Troopers say Joe Drummond, from Hominy, Oklahoma, was pronounced dead on the scene. Priscilla Drummond, from Hominy, Oklahoma, suffered critical injuries in the crash and was taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.

OHP Troopers closed a portion of Highway 20, on Thursday morning, while they worked to clear the scene, causing some early-morning backups for drivers traveling in both directions along Highway 20.

Troopers say they were assisted in their investigation by the Osage County Sheriff's Office, the Hominy Police Department, Hominy Fire Department, Hominy EMS, Miller EMS, Skiatook EMS and Morgan Fire Department.
