A missing teenager was found through online sex ads, according to police.
According to an Oklahoma City Police report, the department’s VICE unit made the discovery when they saw the missing teen’s picture in the ads.
Court documents show officers were tipped off that the missing girl was with a known prostitute and later saw the teen’s picture online in “commercial sex ads".
Police say undercover detectives answered the ad, texting the teen to arrange a meeting. According to an affidavit, an undercover officer met the teen for a “commercial sex date” in a hotel parking lot on South Meridian Avenue on April 5.
The officer then took her to a nearby location at Southwest 15th Street and South MacArthur Boulevard, the location where other detectives confirmed she was the missing teen and took her into custody.
Court filings reveal detectives then viewed surveillance video from the hotel showing the teen entering a room where they found Kevin Martin and Heaven Hamilton.
Cell phone records show Hamilton’s phone contained nude photographs of the teen and a video instructing her how to “pose in sexually suggestive positions."
Detectives say Hamilton also created the juvenile’s ads, according to the affidavit.
Police say warrants obtained for Martin’s phone reveal conversations with the teen discussing “pricing and prostitution dates.”
Both suspects were arrested on complaints of human trafficking, prostitution, and pornography and remain behind bars at the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
