The Caddo County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that three inmates who escaped from the Caddo Co. Jail in Anadarko have been located in Oklahoma City. It is not clear how long they were on the run.

The sheriff said Hector Hernandez, Michael Brown and Davantae Winters escaped the facility at some point between Thursday night and Friday morning.

According to the Caddo County Sheriff's Office, the men were found in a cemetery in southwest Oklahoma City. They were arrested and taken back into custody by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma City Police Department, and U.S. Marshalls.

All three men have lengthy criminal histories.

Hernandez was in for aggravated trafficking of illegal drugs; Brown was charged with aggravated assault, while Winters was most recently arrested for first-degree murder.

An investigation is underway to determine when the inmates made their escape. Investigators say they’re looking into Thursday night and early Friday morning hours.

The Caddo County Jail is connected to the courthouse and the courthouse shut down around 10 a.m. A thorough investigation of the building was conducted.

“We consider all three of these guys dangerous at this point. So, if anybody was trying to see them call in, do not approach,” said Tom Adkins with the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers have been checking security video and recent calls to and from the jail. They believe they had outside help when they finally escaped.

“We think they might have been helped by, you know, some possible relationships they might have had on the outside to help,” said Adkins.

Anadarko Police and the Bureau of Indian Affairs helped with the search.

Investigators initially had reason to believe the men could have found a way out of Oklahoma.

“Some information I got is that they might have even gotten a plane out of the state, so I have contacted the TSA. There are bolos out for all the airports,” said Adkins.

In 2013, four Caddo County inmates escaped the jail, which was fairly newly built in 2011. At that time, the inmates went through the ceiling.
