Description

Sassy Mama shares her recipe for easier-to-eat candy apples, perfect for your fall festivities.

Ingredients

  • Honey Crisp/Granny Smith Apples
  • Pointed skewers
  • Dipping chocolate and/or caramel
  • Toppings of choice: M&M's, nuts, chocolate chips, candy pieces, etc.
  • Baking sheet & parchment paper/tinfoil

Instructions

  1. 1: Cut off small amounts of the sides of the apple, so that the apple slice will lay flat.
  2. 2: Cut apple into two large slices, avoiding the center core.
  3. 3: Add one pointed skewer per slice, to use as the stick of the candle apple.
  4. 4: Dip slices by holding onto the stick, into desired dip (caramel or chocolate)
  5. 5: Place candy apples onto a baking sheet with tin foil or parchment paper.
  6. 6: Add desired toppings, sprinkle them onto the candy apples.
  7. 7: Put the baking sheet of completed candy apples into the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  8. 8: Enjoy!
