TULSA, OK -- After OU basketball great Wayman Tisdale died Friday from bone cancer, Oklahomans will have a chance to pay their respects during two different services this week.
Tisdale's work on and off the basketball court has been recognized worldwide.
Tisdale was a three-time All-American at OU, a gold medal Olympian and 12-year NBA player.
He later became an acclaimed jazz musician.
Tisdale touched many lives and hundreds of people left messages on NewsOn6.com saying how Tisdale's basketball career and his music touched their lives.

Tisdale was 44-years-old when he died on Friday.
His memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. inside the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa.
His brother, Pastor Weldon Tisdale, said Monday afternoon that the family is still planning the service.
The family expects numerous high-profile musicians and athletes to be in attendance.
There will also be a public viewing at Friendship Church at 1709 North Madison Avenue on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by an opportunity for people to speak about Wayman Tisdale from 6 p.m. to about 8 p.m.
