Arrest Made In Friday Osage County Homicide

AVANT, OK -- Osage County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a man in connection to a homicide on Friday evening.

Russell Goddard, 36, was arrested on a complaint of first degree murder and domestic assault and battery. Deputies say Goddard turned himself in.

Deputies say Goddard was involved in a domestic disturbance with his mother and two brothers.

When sheriff's deputies arrived at the home near Avant, which is southeast of Barnsdall, they say they found a car with the truck open and a lot of blood.

During a search of the area, deputies recovered the body of 59-year-old Kenneth Klutts, a longtime resident of Avant.

The Osage County Sheriff's Office isn't saying anything about the victim or what connection he might have to Goddard.
