HENRYETTA, Oklahoma -- A Okmulgee County Sheriff's deputy is scraping the mud from his clothes after crawling underneath a Henryetta bar to nab a burglary suspect.

It happened around 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning when police responded to an alarm at Marvin's Place Bar.

A woman told police she saw the suspect, 45-year-old Gary Sanford, inside the bar as she was resetting the alarm.

When deputies arrived they found no one inside the business, but upon further investigation, they discovered Sanford hiding underneath the building with items he allegedly stole.

Okmulgee County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Johnson crawled underneath the bar to retrieve the suspect and the items.

Sanford was booked into the Okmulgee County jail and faces second-degree burglary charges.
