OKLAHOMA CITY -- A murder charge and five other felony charges have been filed against the man police believe was driving a sport utility vehicle involved in a pursuit and shooting incident which left another man dead last month in Oklahoma City.

Mandirous Navarr Kamisizian was charged with one count of first degree murder, three counts of shooting with intent to kill, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and one count of using a motor vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a weapon.

Clay Baron Howell, 20, died following the May 31st crash of the SUV in which he and Kamisizian were riding while reportedly attempting to elude police. Police officers and witnesses in the neighborhood near 58th and Portland said that Howell was firing at police from the passenger's side of the vehicle. Howell was struck at least twice and died of his wounds according to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office.

The pursuit began near 58th and Shawnee when Oklahoma City police officers gave chase to a vehicle reported as stolen. Police said they returned gun fire after having been fired upon by the passenger of the vehicle.

The pursuit ended when both vehicles crashed.

Kamisizian is being held in the Oklahoma County Jail.

No trial date has yet been set.
