Location For OKC Convention Center Now Up To City Council

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A new convention center in Oklahoma City is one step closer to finding a home.

On Tuesday, the MAPS 3 Convention Center Committee unanimously voted to recommend the center be built west of the OKC Arena in the old car lot.

Thursday, the Citizens Advisory Board also has unanimously approved the recommendation.

The city council will now consider the plan at its meeting July 5.
